Original Item: Only One Available. This is a U.S. WWII home front gas mask issued to civilians in the major coastal cities in the United States. Complete with canvas carrying case, instruction pamphlet and original cardboard box with labels. Mask is size Adult Medium and is totally unissued NOS, we opened the box to take photos of it.

The design of the mask consists of a rubberized body. Two plastic lenses and the filter attached directly to the mouth area. The filter is of metal construction. It has instructions printed in black ink.

The carrying bag is made of light canvas. Khaki color. A shoulder strap is sewn to the body. The letters US are stamped to the front. Just below that is the Chemical division logo.
